    We really need your help!
Explore our extensive range of programs that serve children and adults through literacy and the arts. Literacy creates solutions to many of society’s most persistent problems. From reducing unemployment and poverty to increasing economic growth and opportunity, literacy is key to a better future for all of us.

Reading Seed: Our trained Reading Seed coaches work one-to-one with K-3 students who are reading below grade level. Literacy Connects trains coaches and provides professional development opportunities. Coaches receive free books for their students and have full support from the library coordinator and Reading Seed staff.

Adult Basic Literacy: Our trained ABL tutors help adult learners with reading, writing, and math. These basic literacy skills lead to occupational, educational, and civic success for adult learners. Literacy Connects trains tutors and provides professional development opportunities.

English Language Acquisition for Adults: Our trained tutors work in a classroom environment teaching adult immigrants and refugees. Tutors help adult learners achieve basic English language skills that lead to occupational, educational, and civic success. Literacy Connects trains tutors and provides professional development opportunities.

Additional Opportunities: There are many more opportunities to volunteer with Literacy Connects. Help is needed with catering and special events, book cleaning, minor construction and repairs, clerical work and much, much more! Call us today.
