Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary is a non-profit organization run solely by volunteers. Our efforts continue to grow. We are always looking for people who want to spend time helping our equines. You do not need to have horse experience! If you like working outdoors, there are always projects that need to be worked on.

If you would rather be indoors, there are many opportunities to help in the office, such as helping send mailers, answering the phone, working on our newsletter, representing Equine Voices at various tabling events, or working at our new Gulliver & Friends’ Resale Boutique located in Tubac. Opportunities are open in sales, display, and inventory control. No experience necessary.

Our volunteers complete a 4-hour Volunteer Safety & Orientation Course usually held on the second Saturday of the month. The course provides a brief overview of the Equine Voices mission, procedures, volunteer opportunities, and basic horse and safety information.

Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary is in its 14th year of rescuing horses, burros and mules. Our non-profit organization is dedicated to saving mares and foals, used in the production of the drug Premarin, from slaughter. Through education, we enlighten the public about the horrors behind the Premarin industry and horse slaughter for overseas markets. Equine Voices has also opened its doors to equines who have been neglected, abused, abandoned and those used in the illegal drug trade. Since its founding, Equine Voices has saved over 1,000 equines!

Volunteer orientations are normally scheduled for the second Saturday of the month. It is highly suggested that you check our website to confirm the dates.
