The Sahuarita Food Bank & Community Resource Center serves all of Pima County and northern Santa Cruz County. We are located at 17750 S. La Canada Drive, Sahuarita 85629. We provide food for the hungry, and our Community Resource Center provides family support, health/nutrition and workforce development programs and human services. The goal is to assist our neighbors in becoming self-sufficient. Many programs have no cost; financial aid is available based on need.

How Can You Help?
Join our group of volunteers! There’s a wide variety of opportunities with seasonal, short-term and special projects. Weekly assignments are also available something for every schedule. Our volunteer force ranges in age from teens to 90s!

Opportunities Include:

• Packing and distributing food
• Sorting perishable food in kitchen and warehouse
• Picking up food from local stores (grocery rescue)
• Greeting visitors in the SFB-CRC lobby
• Teaching CRC classes: English, retail skills, digital skills, cooking, entrepreneurship, and many others
• Vocational counseling and coaching with CRC participants
• Serving on our committees: Fund-raising, publicity, community relations, and volunteer recruiting

Bilingual skills are needed.

Donate:

Donations of perishable food: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays. Donations of non-perishable items may be left in the covered bin at front door 24/7.
