Southern AZ VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) Summer SERVE program is for any student between the ages of 14 and 18. Every student must be vaccinated for COVID and have a TB skin test prior to the 1st Monday of June 2025.
The student must be able to work independently as they will each be given an assignment for the summer very similar to our adult volunteers. They will volunteer and gain valuable experience for their future careers such as customer service, experience in the health care industry, teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, experience with a specific population (Veterans), among many others.
The idea is they will be given an assignment and choose 2-3 days a week to volunteer between Monday and Friday.

Click HERE for more details, important dates, and application package. I will of course give an updated schedule to all youth who are accepted and attend the orientation on May 17, 2025.
