Barbara will meet with you after you have had a conversation with a staff member in a program of your interest. She will present you with an application packet needed for the volunteer position where you are planning to volunteer. The staff, residents, and program participants appreciate and are truly thankful for each volunteer who share of themselves with everyone on the La Posada Campus.

Living is doing!

We emphasize senior volunteering at every opportunity for our residents and other surrounding community members, each one replete with the potential to add enriching life experiences for both the volunteer and those receiving these priceless services.  Volunteers can actually learn to become baristas at Posada Java or help staff at the Vensel Treasure Shoppe.  Many find satisfaction and a sense of purpose by volunteering at our assisted living facilities, Adult Day Services, Community Center Senior Lunch Program, and at the on-campus Los Ninos del Valle Preschool that helps to serve our staff and families from surrounding communities.

Whatever the venue, whatever the service rendered all persons add more living to their lives by volunteering.  They interact with LP resident volunteers and, just as important, interact with a wide range of other seniors, staff, and students from Green Valley and beyond.
