When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, immediate delivery of CPR is crucial until First Responders arrive. When given in the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest, studies have shown that Hands-Only CPR is just as effective as conventional CPR with breaths. Using an AED increases the chance of survival, according to the American Heart Association (AHA).

Learn how to perform life-saving Hands-Only CPR and how and why to use an AED. Greater Green Valley Community Emergency Response Team will deliver free training to HOAs, associations, faith-based organizations, and businesses at their location in the Green Valley area.

The one-hour training is designed for groups of up to ten people and uses American Heart Association materials, including manikins, AED simulators, and an interactive video. It is for anyone who wants to learn effective CPR but does not need CPR certification, which requires giving breaths.
