Known as “The Core of Art in Tubac,” the Tubac Center of the Arts is located in the heart of the village of Tubac. The center offers outstanding exhibitions, educational workshops and lectures, a vibrant performing arts series, including summer concerts, a holiday artisans market as well as many, many special events.

At Tubac Center of the Arts, our volunteers are everything. When you volunteer at Tubac Center of the Arts, you are not only selflessly giving of your time and talents, you are also receiving some wonderful things too: camaraderie, companionship, developing your talents and skills, involvement in a dynamic arts setting.

Tubac Center of the Arts programming includes exhibitions, workshops, lectures, special events, Summer Arts Program for children and a Performing Arts Series.

Volunteers serve in a wide variety of areas, including:

Gallery Host Volunteers greet visitors, answer questions and share information about exhibits.

Gallery Shop Volunteers help with displays, merchandise marketing and assist customers with purchases.

Event Volunteers help install exhibits, staff the Holiday Artisan Market, assist with event planning and management, and/or participate in the Tubac Singers.

Special Skills Volunteers help with computer and office work, help with landscaping, our library, write for the newsletters or help with fundraising.

Training is accomplished with an initial orientation, on-the job assistance, and a detailed handbook of responsibilities. A staff member and an office volunteer are always at the Center to provide additional support.
