Office : Answering phones, filing/organizing, supporting Program Coordinators weekly .
Transportation: Transporting Clients locally and/or to Pima and Santa Cruz counties including Tucson for medical appointments, shopping and socialization events and errands. Errands range from delivering groceries, food bank boxes, pick-up prescriptions than deliver to a clients’ homes.
Friendly Visitor: Visiting participants in their home, once a week.
Friendly Phone Calls: Calling participants for check-in and social call on weekly basis.
Handyman: Small home repairs, light yardwork on an episodic basis.
SHIM (Safety and Health in Motion): Provide home visits, working with Fire Corps volunteers, in Fall Prevention program.
Outreach Volunteers: Outreach events, fairs, fund-raising events.
Peer Discussion/Group Leaders: Provide discussion guidance at peer support groups.
Workforce/Job Assistance: Provide assistance with resume writing, interview skills, job search and applications on an episodic basis. Other: Volunteer skills may be beneficial to VAS and it’s clients in many other ways.
